Today at 1pm – Defense against round kick – roundhouse into your ribs

Krav Maga Instructor Roundhouse Kick

A kick that brutally hits your ribs from the outside not only takes your breath away, but can even put you completely out of action. Unlike the low kick, which targets your leg, this roundhousee kick hits you in the middle section of your body. When executed quickly, you won’t be able to hold on to the attacker’s foot, the only thing that helps is the block! In the example we assume that the attacker continues a left/right fist punch combination with a roundhouse kick. To get a lot of power in this kick, he changes his legs, this kick is called a “switch roundhouse kick” and can be used not only for attack but also for defense, if you have blocked the roundhouse kick with your shin like we´ve teached you in one of our last clips. Then you can do a shuffle before you take off the leg you blocked and also quickly do a roundhouse kick. In Krav Maga defense you have to get inside your opponent and should not stay in his kick distance. Originally filmed with Ändi from the KRAVolution worldteam, the clip is commented by Carsten and Patrick as a livestream training video.

Today at 7pm – Headlock from behind with Patrick & Carsten

Krav Maga Profi Instructor Fight selfdefense

The answer to how to defend yourself is given in this short video with Carsten and Patrick. Admittedly, a lot of things have gone wrong when someone manages to “sneak up on you” from behind to strangle you. However, this can also happen out of surprise, for example when someone tries to push you forward quickly by your neck. Carsten and his training partner Patrick explain the static solution using the “plug in” motion – your hands are forming „a shovel“ to open this choking attack. So what can help against choking from the front and from the side, works just as well from behind. But what happens if the attacker still pushes. Here you can use the forward movement and the aggression of the attacker to make the attacker run into your counter with a quick turn and hitting him with your ellbow or with your hammerfist! Watch out our next clip: Krav Maga self-defense against choke from behind, with or without push.

Today at 4pm – choke from behind push 4 kids & teens

Krav Maga Kravolution Kids and Teens selfdefense

Krav Maga for children is about recognizing danger and prevention. In order to keep the next clip as short as possible and still go into the technique, we will limit ourselves here to the defense against the dynamic grab on the neck , the “choke from behind for Kids”! you can also train this classic Krav Maga technique at home alone or with your children. In one of the last clips Carsten and Patrick have explained this technique for adults as well. The more dynamic and powerful the attack, the more effectively it can be fought off…..the secret is that you react very fast

Today at 7pm – Correct falling and rolling with Patrick

Krav Maga technique correct falling and rolling

Today Patrick takes care of the right falling and rolls in Krav Maga. As an old Judoka in our trainer team he knows all about this, but in contrast to the training on the mat, this should also be suitable for the street. A good fall school is the best tool to minimize or prevent the risk of injury. Important: Don’t be afraid of it, because you can’t roll forward or backward. Here you can learn it playfully on the mat and of course you can also practice it at home alone.

21.04.20 – 6pm – Krav Maga Military Riffle Threat

Krav Maga Rifle Weapon threat disarm

Military Krav Maga is not for civilian users. However, we still thought that in this day and age it can’t be completely ruled out that you could be threatened with a long weapon in civilian life. According to a press release from Hannover on 06.04.2020 a 57 year old woman threatened her neighbour with a historical, non-functional rifle because he turned the radio too loud. However, things don’t always have to end so smoothly, as other events and current threat and terror situations from the recent past show.
For this reason, the two Military Krav Maga Instructors, Carsten and Patrick, will show you today how to avert threat scenarios with a rifle.

20.04.20 – 4pm – Side headlock 4 Kids & Teens

Krav Maga Selfdefense Kids side headlock

20.04.20 – 4pm – Side headlock 4 Kids & Teens

In this video Patrick and one of our Kids Students show you the defense against the headlock from the side. We always deal with de-escalation in children and teenager training first, but due to time constraints we don’t go into this in the film. Instead we focus on the technique – namely the release from headlock from the side. The point here is to turn in directly as quickly as possible!

Defence against Frontchokes- static, dynamic and on the wall

Krav Maga Instructor defense against front Choke Technique
New Video today at 7pm: Defence against Frontchokes- static, dynamic and on the wall.
In this clip, Carsten and Patrick show you the classic Krav Maga defense against choke-attacks from the front by using the “master key” as the so-called “pluggin motion” to open the attacker’s hands. Of course you could also start directly with your combatives but to get some air, to stay able to act, is the first priority here. The sound quality in the clip is unfortunately not good, but as always, Carsten and Patrick bring this Krav Maga basic technique with a lot of humor and physical exertion also vividly across.
